Biography:
Curtis has been married to his “college sweetheart” for 30+ years. Together they have three adult children (two daughters and a son) and in December 2021 they were blessed with their first grandchild. Curtis is a licensed minister who has served in both vocational and bi-vocational ministry capacities in Texas, serving in a variety of ministry roles such as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor. After raising his children and a successful 20+ years in construction management, in 2020 Curtis embarked on a second career to pursue his dream and heartfelt calling to help people as a professional counselor. As a result of pursuing his dream and calling to better serve those in emotional distress, Curtis earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-Associate #204844) in Texas. Curtis received training in the systematic functioning of couple and family relationships from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. Curtis enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families as they process and RECOVER from life issues and/or trauma that has caused them emotional and/or relational distress.
Curtis joined New Hope Counseling Services, PLLC in 2022 to work with those in the Sanger and surrounding areas who are looking to discover hope and achieve long-term cognitive and/or relational healing.
