Medication Management

Medication management is one strategy used by psychiatrist to assist individuals in coping with mental illnesses. Your provider will discuss the goals, risks/benefits, and purposes of each medication prescribed. Medication management is often one component of a comprehensive treatment plan designed to connect you back to wellness.

Medication management can be one tool an individual uses to cope with their symptoms of mental illness while on the road to wellness. A psychiatrist will provide you a thorough review of the medications prescribed and will be available to assist you in answering any questions. Research shows significant benefits to utilizing the tool of medication in conjunction with therapy. The goal of medication management is to provide relief of symptoms while obtaining the healing required to treat a mental illness.
