My name is Darlene, and I offer play therapy to address the needs of our youngest clients. Young children have their own set of struggles, and it can be a very confusing and difficult process for them to understand their life experiences and emotions. In play therapy, a child’s natural way of communicating (play) is used to promote self-expression and growth. I offer child-centered play therapy for children between the ages of 4-10 years old.
For adolescents and young adults, I offer client-centered therapy (a non-directive form of talk therapy) which focuses on providing complete acceptance and support, a strong therapeutic relationship, and reflection of feelings which allows the client to better understand themselves and provides an opportunity for a deeper exploration of their feelings.
